Your own business obligations
You remain responsible for your business registration, tax identification, accounting, invoicing, declarations, payment of taxes and contributions, licences and records that apply to your activity and products. You should obtain advice from a qualified professional for your business and market.
Keep your legal name, address, tax information, licences and payout details accurate in Mbopy and promptly notify Mbopy of material changes.
When Mbopy has a legal role
Some laws may require a marketplace operator to calculate, collect, withhold, declare or remit taxes or other amounts related to a sale or platform fee. Where that applies, Mbopy performs the role required by law and may ask you for supporting information.
Mbopy’s collection or remittance of a legally required amount does not make Mbopy your accountant or remove the business obligations that still apply to you.
Payouts and deductions
Before paying a merchant, Mbopy may deduct amounts required by law, a payment provider, a court or a government authority, as well as amounts otherwise permitted by the Merchant Terms. Mbopy may hold a payout while it verifies necessary identity, tax or compliance information.
Review your order and payout records regularly. Contact support promptly if you believe information or a calculation is incorrect; Mbopy may review and correct an apparent error where appropriate.
What to keep
Retain sales records, invoices, order references, product information, expenses, payout records, tax filings and communications for the period required in your market. Mbopy may retain its own platform records according to law and the Privacy Policy.
For Cameroon, platform-specific tax requirements may apply to e-commerce transactions. Confirm the current treatment, including any VAT obligations, with a Cameroonian tax professional before relying on this notice.
